I was born in New Jersey in the shadow of the George Washington Bridge.
When it was time to get an education, I crossed that bridge and graduated from the Parsons School of Design and later, Syracuse University.
One of my responsibilities at my very first job in Manhattan was parking Rosser Reeves’ Mercedes. I was, however, finally in the advertising business.
Over the course of my career I have worked on Seagram, Pfizer, International Flavors and Fragrances, A.T. Cross, Pearson Yachts, Chelsea Clocks, Dyer Boats, Data Terminal Systems, Citizens Bank, Rhode Island Tourism and The Providence Journal. I was involved in successful re-election campaigns for Senator Claiborne Pell and Senator John Chafee.
I have worked with some of the best writers in the business. I feel fortunate to have had great teachers, entertaining and creative partners my entire career. I have won awards; One Show, Clio, Andy and New England's Hatch – which really are the only ones worth mentioning.
I am excited about the next generation of Duffy & Shanley. Someday I'll be even more proud to say that I had something to do with its success.
